How to be a financial advisor for CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)?

I am a senior at the University of double major in accounting and financial planning. My career goal is to become a financial advisor.

To be honest, I think it depends on what area you want to get financial advice. If you are interested in Finance Coroporate CFA designation is the way forward. If you are interested in personal finance (financial advice to people) I say go for the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation.

I'm thinking of getting a Master of Taxation after graduation, so I can have the designations of CPA and CFP.

If I were you I'd get either the CFA or CFP designation and then something a little more like a CPA designation or an MBA will do a greater good for business and give you a competitive advantage when it comes to getting a job.
